Monument & Pylon Signage - Page 1

In the sign world, the terms monument & pylon refer to signs that are typically a larger ground structure.  These can be a decorative or colorful structure or a very business-like functional sign.  They can be made from a variety of materials from hard-coated EIFS(Stucco) to aluminum & steel.  Pylon signs are typically internally illuminated while monuments are externally lit.  We also will show you some combo structures that are internally & externally illuminated.  We can ship many of these structures to your location for local sign installers to mount for you.

Each face of this hard-coated EIFS monument is 10' wide & features sandblasted & hand carved HDU(High Density Urethane faces.  Two men were able to carry each half of this monument into this location.  We can crate & ship this type of monument anywhere in the country.  We can fly to your location to do the installation or hire a local sign installer to do the installation.

This large EIFS monument features very realistic faux stones around the base keeping the price very reasonable.

Hard-coated 2-sided EIFS monument features a block pattern on the base that emulates the base of the building.  The lettering & logo are router-cut aluminum that has been painted corporate colors.

This monument features 23KT Italian gold leafed individual stud mounted lettering & scrollwork.

Polished Corian panels flank each side of the entrance to this private Golf Club.  The logo & lettering were engraved into the plaques the filled with 23KT gold leaf.

Special engineering was required to support this cantilevered pylon sign.  The cantilevered top is internally lit & features a 3 row marquis section for changeable lettering adding to the functionality.

The stone monument matches the same style throughout the subdivision.  The sign faces are made of sandblasted HDU with a glass smalts background & hand gilded 23KT Italian gold leaf.

Faux finished molded HDU stones cover the pillars.  The sign face & pillar caps are made of HDU.  The letters are recessed into the HDU.  Normally, the background is recessed.

Faces on this pylon are made of solid brass that has been router cut & lacquered to keep the brass from oxidizing.  The cut out letters have smoked Plexiglas panels behind them & the whole pylon is internally soft lit for a very elegant look.

A southern California company asked us to make a stone monument for them.  Obviously, since we are in IL, we could not ship an actual stone monument.  We used a 10' wide sheet of HDU for the front & back of the monument & smaller pieces for the ends.  We sandblasted the "mortar" areas around what now looks like stones & the same 1 piece panel for the corporate info in the center.  Each stone was carved, sanded & faux finished.  The "limestone" cap is also made of HDU.

This "V" shaped monument is 12' tall.  The logo(we created) looks 3D but is actually flat.  The lower panels are changeable as tenants change.

This is another "V" shaped monument for a dramatic look from two angles.  The hard-coated EIFS monument has HDU sandblasted faces & HDU faux finished stone facing.

The brick pillars match the buildings in this office park.  The sandblasted HDU face is supported by a grey painted wrought iron structure.  23KT Italian gold leaf was used for the border & lettering/logo.  The black background is glass smalts(black crushed glass)  The glass gives an iridescent sparkle to the sign.

Internally lit pylon sign has a simple clean look to potential customers.

This masonry monument has a Corian face installed.   The Corian panel is 12 feet long.

This monument is kind of like a "Swiss Army Knife", featuring an 80# bronze bell is suspended within the monument so it can be viewed from either side.  The marquis area in the center allows for changeable letters.  The acrylic panels are removable/changeable.  The faces are made of HDU.

The center stone base was built over a hundred years ago.  The new stone pillars were added.  The 2 faces are sandblasted, gold leafed HDU with blue glass smalts in the background.

This is one of several pylons throughout the campus. Non-illuminated aluminum panels work as identification & wayfinding

A stone column supports the 8' long HDU sandblasted sign face/blade.  2) 11/2" thick HDU panels are mounted back to back with a marine plywood support recessed into the center for stiffness & support.  The face protrudes through the column& has the logo "leaf" on the short side too.

This monument features back-lit sections, a timed open/close sign, full motion video screen and address.

A hard-coated EIFS monument sits on top of an internally lit box sign.  The bricks are faux finished HDU so the end panel can be removed to access the bulbs & transformer.  The church name is router cut from 1/2" plastic & then covered with 22KT SignGold.

Another monument for another location of Meadowbrook Manor.  12' wide, single sided with a sandblasted & hand carved face.

A smaller, non-illuminated pylon to match other signs on the property.
